Rosehill Theatre, located in Whitehaven, Cumbria is a performing arts centre providing contemporary drama, film, music and activities for young people.
Rosehill Theatre is owned and administered by Rosehill Arts Trust Limited, a non-profit making organisation and a registered charity, which relies on subsidies from Copeland Borough Council, Cumbria County Council and Northern Arts as well as on the support of local industry and individual patrons to its income.
The theatre has three full time members of staff, two part-time staff and several others working on a casual or voluntary basis.
Historically, the monthly payroll had been done by accountants. Administrator Lindsey Cass would write to the accountants with the number of hours worked by each staff. They, in turn, would process the payroll and post back payslips for Lindsay who would then raise cheques for each staff member.
It seemed to be a costly and cumbersome process for such a small payroll and the Trust were keen to explore other options.
At the suggestion of their Nat West Business Manager, Lindsay approached Moorepay to see if they could help.
Said Lindsey: “Moorepay helped us enormously, their FirstPay service is tailor made for small payrolls such as ours.”
Our web based payroll solution allows Lindsay to submit the hours worked by each member of staff via a secure online interface. This is done by the 8th of each month. Moorepay then process the payroll, send out the payslips and pay staff via BACS by the 15th, eliminating the need for postal deliveries and cheque raising.
Benefits of using the Moorepay FirstPay service
