PAS-accreditation renewed + annual excellence awards

Moorepay has been awarded the CIPP Payroll Assurance Scheme (PAS) Certificate for a further two years, extending our certification to 2019 and our run as the longest-accredited payroll solutions provider to hold the award.

In 2010 Moorepay were the first payroll solutions provider to be awarded under the scheme, and it remains a golden yardstick to measure our service offer against.

To achieve the award a business must submit evidence for 14 separate categories or competencies, with each category containing around 60 sub-elements – that’s approx. 840 in all.

Assessments take place over a full business day, and act very much like an audit.

Here’s the CIPP’s explanation of the value PAS accreditation holds:

“The Payroll Assurance Scheme (PAS) is to verify that processes are in place to ensure accurate payments to payees but also to ensure that appropriate deductions are made from employees’ pay and are accounted for to HMRC and other authorities.”

The assessment also tests the readiness of the organisation to assimilate major legislative changes in addition to regular changes such as at tax year changes.
