PAS-accreditation renewed + annual excellence awards

Moorepay has been awarded the CIPP Payroll Assurance Scheme (PAS) Certificate for a further two years, extending our certification to 2019 and our run as the longest-accredited payroll solutions provider to hold the award.

Moorepay - the longest CIPP PAS-accredited payroll solutions provider

In 2010 Moorepay were the first payroll solutions provider to be awarded under the scheme, and it remains a golden yardstick to measure our service offer against.

To achieve the award a business must submit evidence for 14 separate categories or competencies, with each category containing around 60 sub-elements – that’s approx. 840 in all.

Assessments take place over a full business day, and act very much like an audit.

Here’s the CIPP’s explanation of the value PAS accreditation holds:

“The Payroll Assurance Scheme (PAS) is to verify that processes are in place to ensure accurate payments to payees but also to ensure that appropriate deductions are made from employees’ pay and are accounted for to HMRC and other authorities.”

The assessment also tests the readiness of the organisation to assimilate major legislative changes in addition to regular changes such as at tax year changes.

Julie Dansie, Service Delivery Director at Moorepay, said:

I am very pleased to announce that the Farnborough Service Delivery Centre have again achieved certification for CIPP PAS accreditation for another year.  It’s a great achievement for our Service Delivery teams, and assures our customers that:

  • Our payroll and associated processes are fit for purpose and comply with government legislation
  • We have all appropriate controls in place to reduce payroll errors
  • Suitable processes are in place for preparing for legislative and organisational changes
  • We have highlighted areas for development and improvement over the next two years

CIPP Annual Excellence Awards

In other news, the deadline for this year’s CIPP awards entries is today (11 August 2017).

These awards demonstrate the best of our industry and, you’ll know if you’ve attended previously, we support them each year, alongside National Payroll Week (4-8 September).

Naturally Moorepay will be well represented at the awards dinner – here’s the date for your diary:
