Pension Services Corporation Limited (PIC) are a UK based insurance company, specialising in securing the liabilities of Defined Benefit pension schemes, with over 250 employees.

Why PIC moved to Moorepay

PIC moved to Moorepay for a multitude of reasons. The first being our competitive pricing and diverse product suite.

As a supplier with a large client base operating in the same industry, Moorepay was the perfect fit. PIC described Moorepay as “an organisation with values that are well aligned to our company values.” It wasn’t just our values, price and experience that impressed them, they attended a demo of our Next Generation Software and were particularly impressed by our mobile app and user-friendly look and feel.

Before moving to Moorepay, PIC had issues with the volume of manual payroll and HR tasks, including end-to-end payroll cycles taking a long time, and a huge amount of resource being spent on payroll reconciliation. They reported issues with the level of accuracy in their payroll and felt the burden of old school paper payslips and P60s.

What we did for them

PIC were part of our Next Generation early adopter group. A group established to test Next Generation functionality and software suitability. The aim of this group was to ensure that our software was suitable for further rollout.

PIC were a key player in our early adopter program and invaluable in product development. PIC stated, “The group should give everyone reassurance. The product will be a lot more stable once others have been through the upgrade because they will have had that early adopter group testing the product.” We take a dedicated approach to development and only deploy the very best products for our customers, that’s why this group was an essential part of our product development.

As part of the Next Generation early adopter group, PIC have been processing their payroll on Next Generation software since February 2021. Throughout their implementation it’s been important for Moorepay to stay close to the detail and work to solve issues quickly and efficiency.

Overall Next Generation is great.

Payroll dashboard

Our Next Generation boasts and new and improved look and feel for the payroll dashboard. With screens that are intuitive to navigate and make key functions quick to find. PIC say they “especially like the countdown to payday.”

Reminders

Our Next Generation software is built to make payroll & HR easy. That means intuitive features that reminder users of actions they need to undertake and up and coming events. PIC particularly like the ‘celebrate’ reminder that is triggered by work anniversaries.

Audit log report

Our audit log functionality adds an additional level of oversight. With a design overhaul, users can see date stamped changes, users changes and ensure all payroll changes are logged in one place.

Extractor

As part of our Next Generation software upgrade we’ve enhanced the power of our reporting tool, Extractor. As part of this upgrade, Extractor runs quicker, it has an improved look and feel and more capabilities than ever before. Going above and beyond data output, Extractor allows full report designer capabilities.

Mobile app

The Moorepay mobile app allows employees and managers to quickly access data, approving or submitting leave, changing personal details and timesheet functionality, all on the go. “I’ve used the mobile app myself I think it looks brilliant, it looks really neat. It’s user-friendly, it’s intuitive. We also have someone in IT who has been helping us with the security and he thinks it’s brilliant too.”
