Mat joins Moorepay with a wealth of experience, having earned a PhD in Computer Science looking at language models and machine learning. His career spans successful roles in startups and scale-ups, followed by leadership positions in the hospitality sector. Most recently, he served as Product and Engineering Director at Access Hospitality, where he played a key role in growing the business through organic growth and extensive acquisitions.

Mat is passionate about creating innovative, customer-centric solutions and empowering teams to achieve their best. His leadership is driven by a strong belief in ownership, fulfilment, and fostering a culture of creativity. Living in rural Scotland with his family, two dogs, a cat, two tortoises, and a snake, Mat enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle, including cycling, running, climbing, and camping. He is excited to bring his expertise and vision to Moorepay, where he looks forward to contributing to the company’s continued growth and success.
