The Moorepay Mobile App

Yes, the Moorepay Employee Mobile App is here, catapulting employee self-service light-years ahead of the market. Why have we built employee self-service (ESS) into a mobile app? How did customer feedback shape the journey? And what can you expect from this exciting new product?

In a world where we can fly down the M6 with just electric in the tank, pay for lunch with your face and phone, and ping cryptocurrency as you please, the payroll industry, by comparison has fallen behind. Payrollers plodding along with on-premise software, employees scribbling paper timesheets and heaps of vital people data falling foul to excel manipulation.

A recent study from RescueTime found people spend an average of three hours and fifteen minutes on their phones every day. Teamed with customer cries on the drain of repeated employee queries, the demand for an improved employee experience, and the fact that 1 in 5 employees quit their job due to a poor payroll experience. Ding! Lightbulb moment. We set the wheels in motion with our Employee Mobile App.

What does this mean?

Gone are the days where employees must be tethered to a desktop, a VPN, or the office. No longer are payroll and HR professionals crying out in despair as they hand-hold yet another employee through a spiderweb of screens. Just employees, managers and admins locking their phones and chirping ‘well that was easy.’

That would all be handy, wouldn’t it? Yeah, we hear you, that’s why we’ve built all of this into the product – to create a seamless employee experience.

As well as building an experience to make the market green with envy, we’ve chucked in the gift of time as a freebie. No more booting up your laptop as the kids tuck into dinner, a couple of clicks and you’ve submitted your holiday request. Forgot to add next of kin details just before your business trip? No worries, it’s quick to do in the app.

That goes for managers too. Approving, rejecting and requesting more information about timesheet submissions went from snail-paced to Usain Bolt overnight. And if you’re a payroll or HR professional, you might be thinking ‘what’s in it for me?’ Well, those laborious queries about PDF payslips, leave allowance and timesheet submissions seem to fall by the wayside when you make it easy for employees to take personal data into their own hands.

Deployed on both Google Play (fear not Android users!) and in the App Store, no matter the device, employees can view payslips, edit personal details, ping their timesheets, the list goes on… And once it’s downloaded, there’s no faffing with password management and long-winded logins, simply enable fingerprint or facial recognition and be on your way.

Employees don’t just access their own data, they’ll be privy to the leave calendar of the team. Can’t wait to book that £14 flight to Dublin? Maybe just hold off – Kevin’s in the Maldives for two weeks, so it’s perhaps bad timing to book if off too.

Easy to trust
